Magic on TV. Part 4 in the David Ginn Archives.

This unusual DVD takes you on a magical journey from 1965 to 1998, showing David Ginn’s television appearances from Atlanta to Honolulu, Hawaii! Along with assistant Holly Thomas, David shares rare TV footage, starting with his first TV show doing a dove act at age 19. When David was 23, Fantasio filmed him doing a different act at the Kansas City SAM convention.

You’ll see David perform one time only his
Multiplying Marshmallows on Dick Williams’ Magicland show on
Memphis TV. And there’s more: magic on a Spanish TV show in Dallas TX, close up magic on a Michigan TV talk show, and a library show broadcast on television in Cartersville GA 1984.

Woven between the TV clips, David and Holly perform studio TV magic in Atlanta with a magic rabbit, flowers, silk scarves, canes and more. Then comes Thumb Fun, a close-up card trick invented by Sid Lorraine and taught to David by Doug Henning himself. Want more? David tackles the Houdini Pillory Escape, and with Holly inside, performs Sherm’s rare NOMA Sword Box Illusion. Will Holly get out of it alive? Watch and see!

The highlight of the entire DVD is David’s 1996 appearance on Wheel of Fortune, seen by millions of viewers across the USA. Although not the big winner, David had great publicity for the next five years!

BONUS FOOTAGE: At the end of Magic on TV, you’ll have additional fun watching a rare live version of Duke Stern’s Dye-Version, published in Professional Magic for Children in 1976. Following that, watch David once again in his element, thrilling children with a rock and roll show opening in East Atlanta, 1984.
