13 Illusions. Part 5 in the David Ginn Archives
Thirteen Illusions is David Ginn’s personal favorite in the Ginnville Archives. These video clips, mostly from live shows, span a period
of 35 years in the life of a fulltime working professional magician. They show the bigger tricks (we call them illusions) David has used to entertain audiences from Georgia to Abbotts Magic convention in Michigan. Now it’s time to share these rare show clips with all of you family and friends. Here we go:
1. Palanquin Illusion plus complete Magical Wonder Show opening
2. Caliph’s Cutter (rare 1979)
3. The Doll House plus
4. Delben Wrist Chopper
5. Chu’s Sword Basket
6. Denim Jacket Escape
7. The Farmer and the Witch
8. Thayer Tea Chest (Dragon Box)
9. Houdini Pillory Escape
10. Sawing a Girl in Half
11. Sherm’s NOMA — Live 1988 12. Abbott’s Girl Vanish
13. Houdini’s Metamorphosis x 3
As David and friends perform these magical curiosities, the underlying message is always there. Do you sense it? Just this: “Let’s have FUN playing with magic!”
Bonus Clips: Finally, after the credits, David shares two extremely rare live performances from long lost and now found video tapes. Forgive the film quality, please — we are fortunate that these rarities even exist!
• Sword Basket featuring Autumn Ginn (age 9) FCM 1988 • The Amazing Vanishing Bowling Ball, Chicago 1990
IMPORTANT NOTE: We have tested this video download, and it should work properly on Apple products and computers running Windows 10. If you are using Windows 11, you may find the video plays but there is no audio. In this case, you would download the HEVC Video Extensions from Microsoft, or get the free download of VLC Media Player, which works great for all types of media.
